The U.S. Consulate General Edinburgh provides all non-emergency passport, citizenship and consular services for residents of Scotland by appointment only. Appointments are scheduled on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. If you have a genuine emergency outside these hours, please contact us to arrange an appointment.

Note that public restrooms are not available in the U.S. Consulate. The nearest public restrooms are located at the corner of London Road and Easter Road or in the St. James Center.

Our regular business hours are Monday - Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. We are closed on all American, British and Scottish public holidays.
